Setting up your Yoodesk takes most people 20–40 minutes. Here's everything you need.
Before you start
- Tools: [Most steps use the included Allen key / hardware. Add any extra tools, e.g. "a Phillips screwdriver is helpful but optional."]
- Help: the frame is heavy (~[18-24] kg assembled). We recommend a second person for flipping the assembled desk upright.
- Space: clear a flat area, ideally on carpet or a soft surface, to protect your tabletop while you work.

The basic steps
A quick overview — your model's guide has the exact detail:
- Unbox and lay out all parts; check them against the "What's in the box" list.
- Attach the legs to the crossbar / frame.
- Mount the frame to your tabletop using the included hardware.
- Connect the motors to the control box and attach the handset.
- Plug in, and attach the tabletop before testing (see tip below).
- Set your sitting and standing heights using the memory presets.
Important tip — avoid the E05 error
Test the height adjustment only after the tabletop is fully attached. Testing the bare frame can trigger a harmless E05 warning, where the controller detects instability and pauses. Once the tabletop is on, it operates smoothly. If E05 persists, message us.
After installation — register your warranty
Once you're set up, record a short video of your desk working and send it to us to activate your 3-year warranty. See Warranty Information for why this matters and how to do it.
Installation & Troubleshooting FAQ
Do I need a drill to install it? For most setups, no. If your tabletop is engineered wood, the screws go straight in — no drilling needed. Everything required is included in the frame kit: Allen key, screws, brackets, and the printed guide. (For thick solid hardwood tops, drilling a small pilot hole first makes the screws go in cleanly — but that's the exception, not the rule.)
Can I install it alone? Technically yes — but with some challenges, mainly because the frame is heavy to flip upright once the tabletop is attached. With a second person it's a quick, easy job. If you're doing it solo, work on a soft surface and take the flip slowly.
I've finished setup but the desk isn't working. First, reset the controller — the reset steps are in your model's guide (look for "reset configuration"). A reset fixes the large majority of first-time issues. If it still won't move after a reset, call us on [+91-9552187400] for quick support.
(Single motor) My desk is lifting from one side only. This is the most common single-motor issue, and it almost always means the connecting rod isn't seated correctly. Do this right away:
- Stop immediately — don't keep operating it.
- Bring the desk to its lowest height.
- Remove the connecting rod and refit it exactly as shown in the guide.
- WhatsApp us on [+91-9552187400] — we'll guide you through it on a video call.
Anti-collision: it hits the object first, then stops. Shouldn't it stop before? This is how the system is designed to work, and it's working correctly. The frame uses a power-consumption sensor: when it detects resistance beyond a set limit, it recognises an obstacle and triggers anti-collision. So it will make light contact first — gently enough not to cause damage — and then stop and reverse slightly. If the desk won't move up or down after an anti-collision event, reset it and it will operate normally.
The power cut out while the desk was moving, and now it shows an error. This is normal — an interrupted movement leaves the controller out of sync. Just reset the controller (steps in your guide) and it will return to normal.
I'm seeing an "E05" error. Usually this means the frame was tested before the tabletop was attached — the controller senses instability and pauses for safety. Attach the tabletop first, then test. If E05 persists after that, message us.
There's a slight wobble at full standing height. A small amount of movement at maximum height is normal for any two-leg frame, and more noticeable on taller (3-stage) models. Make sure all bolts are fully tightened and the tabletop is firmly mounted — that removes most of it. For a completely wobble-free feel at extreme heights, a heavier top and the dual-motor Pro/Ultra help.
The desk is on an uneven floor and rocks slightly. Adjust the levelling feet/glides at the base of each leg until it sits flat.
My memory presets aren't saving. Set the desk to your preferred height, then follow the preset-save sequence in your model's guide (typically hold the M button, then the number). If they still won't save, reset the controller and try again.
The handset/buttons aren't responding. Check that the handset cable and motor cables are firmly plugged in to the control box — a loose connector is the usual cause. Reseat them, then try again.
Still stuck?
WhatsApp us on [+91-9552187400] — send a photo or video of where you're stuck and we'll reply with guidance, often with a video of our own. We'd rather spend ten minutes getting it right with you than have you guess.
