As a software engineer, I spent countless hours sitting at a desk, immersed in coding and project management. While the work was fulfilling, it came at a cost: by the time I turned 38, I began experiencing persistent back pain. I quickly realized I wasn’t alone—many of my peers, from developers to managers, faced the same struggles due to poor workspace ergonomics.
Despite the growing awareness of health and wellness in the workplace, I noticed a glaring gap in India’s market. Ergonomic furniture was either unavailable or priced exorbitantly, making it inaccessible to the everyday professional. This challenge sparked an idea: why not create high-quality, affordable ergonomic solutions tailored to the needs of Indian professionals?
My career journey started as a web developer and later as a Lead and Delivery Manager at Torinit, where I honed my problem-solving and leadership skills. However, it was during a recent career break that I truly had the opportunity to reflect, explore, and build the foundation of Yoodesk.
Stepping into entrepreneurship as a first-generation business owner, especially from a different industry, was no small feat. I faced challenges in marketing, procurement, supply chain management, and operations. But these hurdles only fueled my determination to bring affordable and innovative ergonomic solutions to the forefront.
